When I’m not suited up for my 8 to 5 gig, my outfit of choice has to be a favorite pair of broken-in jeans and a comfortable t-shirt. Add in the right pair of shoes, I’m set with a comfortable, yet trendy look and ready to go just about anywhere.
Gear Patrol was recently introduced to a new brand of premium denim out of Los Angeles called Rivet De Cru. The company’s name, which means “vintage rivet” in French, is perfectly descriptive of their jeans, as they are a great synthesis of your favorite well-worn pair and haute couture.
After years of working in Italy for Parasuco Jeans, owner and designer Ruben Campos has brought continental trends such as creative washes and unique destroy methods to the States. Each pair has a one-of-a-kind feel, and the attention given to washing and fading, coupled with Rivet De Cru’s eye-catching stitching, makes for a great look.
Rivet De Cru offers several different styles, each bearing a man’s name. As you’d expect, they offer both straight leg and skinny cuts in a variety of wash colors. The fit tends to be a little looser in the waist and the seat, with a straighter fit through the thigh and knee. This vintage fit is one of the attributes that gives the look of a pair of jeans that you’ve had for years. If you consider yourself to be a bit fashion savvy, you should happily find a place for Rivet De Cru Jeans in your closet or collection.
