Formula D, New Jersey – “The Gauntlet” from Joshua Herron on Vimeo.

Man’s love for fast cars is instinctual. Their speed, sound, and power, speak to the grunting, club thumping brute in us all at a subconscious level. Unfortunately, many of us may never have the opportunity to sit behind the wheel and experience the thrill of controlling these masterpieces of engineering personally. Perhaps that’s reason behind why sports such as: Nascar, Indy, and Formula One racing, have been so successful in amassing enormous fan bases. Or why film franchises such as the Fast & The Furious continue to mysteriously make money.

Joshua Herron seems to understand this phenomenon well, and is currently busy dedicating his time to producing some of the best (amateur?) auto videos on the web. Focused on the world of Formula D racing, otherwise known as professional drifting, his expertly crafted videos showcase the thrill of the sport like no one else.

To give you a taste of his work, we’ve embedded a view of samples of his work here, so enjoy. Just be sure to clean up after yourself and take the time to visit his personal site Joshuaherron.com for the full picture of this upcoming talent. Also special thanks to The Awesomer for alerting us of his new release.
