In anticipation of Labor Day soon becoming a distant memory, Gap’s new line of shirts has your fall look dead in their sights. Based on what we’ve seen, they’re bolstering plaid as the go to pattern in Fall/Winter 2009. That, or maybe that’s just our friend over at Allplaidout rubbing off on them. Regardless of who gets trend setting credit, these shirts are a distant cry from Northern Exposure chic.

Stylish and comfortable, sporting one with jeans should make for the perfect outfit for crisp walks and fading afternoons. The collection is also quite affordable, costing between $25 and $45 per, meaning that you won’t have to worry if an elbow gets shredded once pick up football begins. Editor’s Note: During my recent exploration of the store, I found they were running a buy one shirt, get another shirt free sale. Not sure if it’s past, but if you’re interesting in picking some up, I’d check it out soon.

Cost: $25-$45
