tres-generaciones-anejo-tequilaLife doesn’t end at scotch, though for me Bourbon comes pretty close. Whether your expanding your bar with the essentials or just looking for a worthy addition to your regimen, don’t rule out fine tequilas. Especially Añejo tequilas.

Tres Generaciones Añejo Tequila is comprised of 100% blue agave toasted 12 months in American oak barrels. The result is a light amber hue (similar to scotch) that tastes of oak, agave, and caramel vanilla. It’s perfect for sipping on cool evenings and the warm smoky finish is sure to earn a second glance from even the most die hard scotch drinkers. It won’t replace your Johnnie Walker Blue, but it’s a welcome addition to this editor’s bar stock.

Tres Generaciones also offers Plata (bright and citrusy) and Reposado (spicy) variants, so consider your taste preferences, but as a valid alternative to Scotch or Whisky, stay honed on Añejo.
