A little while back you might remember a post we did on a series of posters entitled Under the Milky Way by Ross Berens. Well while on a similar hunt to find unique artwork that was both tasteful and undoubtedly masculine, we recently discovered a this series done to commemorate 2009 as the International Year of Astronomy. This movement was a global effort spear headed by the the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and UNESCO to help the citizens of the world rediscover their place in the Universe through the day and night-time sky.
Interestingly enough though, artist Simon Page designed these beautiful retro prints on his own, and only later after discovering his work did the IYA 09 ask him if they could use the series for their promotional efforts. Containing 10 different images, each one is as brilliant as the last, and all are available for purchase in sizes of 13 x 19, 18 x 24, and 24 x 36. You can also check out what the other prints in the series look like by hitting the link below. So pick up one, or the entire set if your in need of wall art that’s sure to standout.
