PUMA Cell Fusion Golf Shoes
Function Fused with Style and Innovation

As much as we hate to admit it, golf is a sport all about vanity. Some choose their clubs not based solely upon performance, but also based on how they look at address and how they look in our bag. Golf shoes are no exception.
For 2010, Puma combines their latest golf technology with a hefty dose of style and fashion to create the Puma Cell Fusion. The Puma Cell Fusion features iCell technology, an array of hexagonal inner-cell components, in the forefoot and heel of the shoe to enhance cushioning and increase stability.
The Puma Cell Fusion also features Puma’s Smart Quill technology. The “quills” are molded and strategically placed to guarantee maximum traction during each portion of the swing. Unlike previous editions, the Smart Quill spikes on the Puma Cell Fusion are now replaceable, an added bonus, although the Smart Quill spikes are designed to last approximately two-years. The Smart Quill spikes are combined with extra TPU teeth in key areas of the heel and forefoot to enhance grip beyond previous generations of Puma Golf shoes.
After a few rounds, the Puma Cell Fusions were, without a doubt, proven to be lightweight and comfortable. My feet were noticeably less fatigued after a round than compared to a circuit with my old pair of golf shoes. The Smart Quill spikes provided excellent traction and feel from down-sloping and awkward sidehill lies to firm fairways and soft bunkers. Not to mention, the Puma Cell Fusion’s waterproof full-grain leather upper managed to keep my feet both warm and dry after hacking through deep, wet rough in cold weather.
Although my play was sub-optimal at best, the Puma Cell Fusion kept this writer looking good while digging small holes in frozen tundra. Without a doubt, Puma expertly combines form with function to create an excellent golf shoe.
