Before Stifler’s Mom there was Mrs. Robinson, the original MILF. Centered around recent college grad Ben Braddock, played by a young(er) Dustin Hoffman, The Graduate follows Ben as he returns home and after college and attempts to figure out what’s next. Quickly he finds himself the boy toy of Mrs. Robinson, the wife of his father’s business partner. Not a bad deal, until he falls for Mrs. Robinson’s daughter Elaine, angering the old Cougar. Problems ensue. In spite of its slightly far-fetched plot, it does touch upon the “what the hell do I do now?” that sets in after four years of the time of your life. That’s a theme that still rings true 43 years later. The Graduate also happens to have one of the best movie soundtracks of all time, done entirely by Simon & Garfunkel.
