Bivy sacks represent an excellent shelter solution for any trailblazer seeking all-weather protection without dealing with the weight or pack bulk of a tent. Nemo’s Gogo LE Bivy represents a better solution than competing models though on a variety of fronts. First of all, thanks to its added length, the Gogo LE provides sleeper’s with 9.5 feet of interior length to share with their pack. It also features dual doors, giving campers the flexibility to exit the shelter from the side, should they decided to store the pack in the nose of the shelter. Finally by using a small stick or pole, the LE’s swallowtail design provides further interior space at the foot of the bivy if users need it.

Unlike similar solutions, the Nemo Gogo LE requires also no poles to support the interior structure. Instead it uses a combination of stakes and AirSupport Technology comprised of special “inflatable poles”. Twice as strong as aluminum poles, inflating the Gogo LE’s air support poles is simple thanks to the bivy’s integrated foot pump, and takes less than a minute to complete. Those worried about punctures though can rest easy since each pole is made from super tough laminate that won’t puncture easily. However, in the event of disaster, holes are easily repaired with the included kit.

Exterior wise, this bivy is comprised of a OSMO Silnulon waterproof, breathable fabric and a durable polyurethane-coated nylon flooring which provides protection from the elements as well as interior comfort. The Gogo Exofly’s front canopy can also extend to provide campers with a retractable vestibule for protecting gear outside or cooking in the event of foul weather. Interior wise, the Nemo Gogo LE is topped off by reflective guyouts, a headlamp hook and a watertight stuff sack that doubles as a pocket inside the tent.
