Recalling the look of vintage steamer trunks from back when traveling glamorously meant whittling away the time in lavish passenger liners’ suites playing cards with a drink in hand, this beautiful dresser is aimed at those with cash to burn and a love of adventure. Constructed of a solid wood frame covered with handmade distressed vintage cigar leather that has been aniline-dyed to achieve a classic patina, there’s no question this is one of the manliest dressers we’ve ever laid eyes on.
Each dresser sold is technically unique as well, thanks in part to over 3,000 hand-hammered brass nail heads that accent the frame’s tobacco finished oak slats and cast-metal antiqued hardware. Measuring 59″ wide by 20″ deep and 40″ high, it’s definitely got the space to handle a fairly large wardrobe, and we especially like the trunk top opening. Sadly our ability to scrounge up $2,500 for a dresser is likely to only happen the day the Titanic sails again.
