American Expedition Vehicles Brute Jeep

Sometimes Brute Force Is Necessary

By Ethan Dougherty on 5.4.10

If your Jeep Wrangler just isn’t unique enough for your tastes (or needs), then the AEV Brute Jeep pickup conversion ($8,995) should fit the bill. The kit, which comes 90% assembled takes about 60 hours to implement on any Jeep TJ or quicker with a mechanically inclined buddy. The Brute Kit (great name) includes mid-frame extensions, brute hard top and cab closeout with skylights and increased head room, rear frame extension with winch mount, 14ga bed assembly with tailgate, CNC fuel & brake lines, body mounts, and detailed instructions. Lets face it – you’re not as mechanically inclined as you think. AEV also offers the kit parts a la carte for budget minded DIY’ers. Of course, if you’re looking to take it to eleven you can opt for the V8 Hemi Conversion Kit ($3,999-$5,249). Just don’t blame us when you’ve got the most coveted Jeep on Moab. More photos after the jump.
