The new Sony A290 DSLR ($499) will be Sony’s lowest priced DSLR. The 14.2 megapixel DSLR features a 14.2 megapixel sensor, 3200 ISO, SDHC/Memory Stick Pro card slot, HDMI output with Bravia sync, 2.7″ Clear Photo tilt/swivel LCD, 18-55mm kit lens, BIONZ processor, phase-detection autofocus, 2.5 fps shooting, RAW compatibility, 500 shot per charge Li-Ion battery, improved grip design, revised button layout, pop-up flash, and a new on-screen graphic display to help aspiring photographers see the effects of their settings on the final picture. Yup, a Sony product that’s not overpriced. We’re surprised too.
