It seem that nowadays every clothing manufacturer under the sun sells some form of board short. Problem is, few are made with quality and worse, covered with crazy patterns and designs that may not suit everyone’s summer look (no pun intended). If you’re one of the guys dissatisfied with this trend, then Greenlines Boardshorts ($60) is definitely worth investigating.

The company sells a small line of basic but good-looking solid colored boardshorts that will feel at home on any beach on earth. Designed to replicate the classic boardshort style, each pair is cut with an 18 1/2″ outseam and 6 1/4″ inseam to fall at or slightly above the knee. Sorry Speedo fans, but that’s a good fit in our book. Their entire line is also made from 100% recycled polyester that’s coated in a water repelling finish to prevent soaking. What’s even more impressive is that a portion of the company’s profits are donated to various foundations devoted to preserving the local beaches and marine life their customers enjoy so much. Good luck finding shorts with similar styles and values at your local department store for $60.
