In time for Fall/Winter 2010, Australian newcomer Whillas & Gunn brings contemporary design with heritage appeal, especially their sharply designed duffles that pair with modern looks. W&G isn’t just duffles though, purveying work-wear fabrics in their line up: overcoats, suiting and vests with blends of rugged quilting, waxed/oiled canvas, and leathers the Australian Outback is in full force here. A mix between utilitarian and modern tailoring, these dapper carryalls seem like props from a modern-day variation of There Will Be Blood, it’s best surmised as Modern Prospector.
