Hennessey VelociRaptor APV

Well not quite Jurassic Park, but this beast is based on a Ford (not a clear roofed Explorer?). It will also certainly take some degree of effort to tame one’s self at the wheel of the Hennessey VelociRaptor APV, a supercharged 6.2 liter 575 horsepower homage to unnecessary engineering. In case you’re wondering the “APV” moniker stands for Hennessey’s Armored Performance Vehicles which has provisioned the stout Ford Raptor with modifications turning it into a full-on SUV with armor plating, bullet-resistant glass, and poisonous spit. And as with all Hennessey conversions, an onslaught of options are available including satellite tv, high-speed internet, and mobile office gear. We won’t call it the most handsome four-wheeled machination, but certainly wouldn’t turn down an offer to get behind the wheel and attack Moab. Price, TBD.
