Wes Anderson is a polarizing director. People either hate or love his films. End of story. The Darjeeling Limited ($25) tends to rank lower on his list of films, possibly because it was co-written by Jason Schwartzman and Roman Coppola instead of Owen Wilson or Noah Baumbach. But in our book it’s still a highly entertaining, slightly perplexing film. On Blu-ray, the film’s gorgeous M1080p AVC MPEG-4 transfer and its rich saturated cinematography will make your flat-screen pop. The extras are a bit weak, but it does include the short film Hotel Chevalier which was initially written as the first chapter of the film and shot a year before the movie began. Starring Natalie Portman and Jason Schwartzman, the Blu-ray gives you the option to start the film with this short, or as a stand alone feature.
