Unlike your garden variety Appalachian variety, possession of Original Moonshine won’t get you in trouble with the law. Crafted by Stillhouse (co-founded by Adam Perry Lang, author of one of our favorite books on BBQ), the clear corn whiskey is 80 proof, all-natural and gluten-free. Charcoal filtered and distilled four times in a Prohibition-era copper pot, Original Moonshine benefits from a generations old process. The taste is mild raw sugar combined with a smooth finish. To get the most flavor, drink it with a splash of water or mixed with an acidic fruit. The only downside: you can’t use it as anti-freeze.
