The Mothership, garnered photographer Sean R. Harvey an Honorable Mention in the 2010 National Geographic Photo Contest. Though it may look like a freeze frame straight from the celluloid of an upcoming Roland Emmerich film, the petrifyingly beautiful photograph was taken of the Supercell Thunderstorm as it rolled across prairies near Glasgow, Montana this past July.
