Equipped with Apple’s new AirPlay technology the new Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air has wisely left the sumptuous, and now iconic, design alone and undergone a massive internal overhaul. Besides wireless streaming from an AirPlay enabled iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone, the Air utilizes an entirely new fully-active 2.1 design using 5 individual drivers powered by new and more powerful amplifiers, and a redesigned glossy-black back panel made from glass-fibre filled ABS plastic equipped with dimpled Flowports for a dramatic improvement in bass. The internal processors have been upgraded with full 24bit-96KHz DSP’s (audiophiles rejoice) and if you still prefer your electronics wired, a USB and auxiliary jack are offered — not that you’re the type of person who fiddles with such trivialities like wires.
