Claiming 767 horsepower and “hybrid” aren’t what you’d expect to see in the same sentence, but the Porsche 918 RSR does just that. Marrying a high winding mid-mounted V8 and two front-wheel electric motors, the Porsche can generate a monstrous 767 horsepower for 8 second bursts. Porsche has even endowed the front motors with their torque vectoring technology which distributes torque to improve steering response and agility. And in case you’re worried about passengers hearing you scream, fret not. The kinetic energy recovery system (that’s reminiscent of a flux-capacitor) is mounted right where the passenger seat is making you the sole recipient of all the sheer thrill and terror this German racing laboratory has to offer.
