About a year ago, the Samsung Galaxy S created a stir on the Android block when it pranced out with its 4-inch Super AMOLED display. While there’s plenty of tech chatter surrounding its successor, the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Samsung Infuse 4G ($200) is essentially the same phone, and it’s coming to AT&T on May 15th. This Android 2.2 device ratchets the Super AMOLED screen madness up to 4.5-inches for great color reproduction and brightness — even in direct sunlight. It also packs a higher speed 4G antenna compared to other slowpoke “4G” phones like the Atrix 4G or HTC Inspire 4G — giving the Infuse download speeds of up to 21Mbps compared to 14.4Mbps. Pockets will cheer too that it’s 9.24mm at its thickest point and tapers to 8.99mm, knocking even the svelte iPhone’s body image down a few pegs. All of design goodness is backed up with a 1.2GHz processor, 1.3MP front camera, and 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 720P HD video capabilities. Samsung Media Hub, U-verse Mobile, U-verse Live TV, and a special free version of Angry Birds ship with the device as well, so say sayonara to working once it arrives.
