It may be -26°F outside, but inside the comfort of your thermal glass igloo, it’s far from rough. With a campus of 20 glass ensconced igloos, Igloo Village in Kakslauttanen, Finland is a star-gazing bonanza. Capture views of the Northern Lights and Arctic stars while you bask in a fully appointed room dome complete with ultra-comfortable beds, hot sauna and even an ice hole for blisteringly cool afternoon refreshers. For braver, warmer-blooded guests, the village even offers up traditional snow igloos that keep the temperature a balmy -20°F. Thankfully, warm down sleeping bags (rated to -30°F) and woolen nightwear are provided. Open between December through April.
