After closing up his former shop (RIP Freeman Transport), Ben Ferencz decided it was time for reflection. He took some time traveling around between his home in the Montana mountains and New York City. Spent time with good friends. Did a few collaboration one-offs with the likes of Hickorees Hard Goods and Jack Spade. Realizing along the way that he wanted to start something new that would represent and fit in with the two-worlds lifestyle he enjoys.

Partnering up with his good friend Martin the two launched FairEnds. Their initial offering is comprised of a variety of 5-panel camp hats and traditional ball caps for adults, kids and even babies. Each hat is made in the USA and non-branded, perfect for covering your dome and keeping things simple. In the near future they’ll be launching a backpack, totebag, totepack, and pouchset — all sure to make our list of near-term acquisitions.

We were lucky enough to talk with Ben about the brand. Regular occuring themes were casual, friendship, quality, and fun… now that’s a company mission statement we can get behind.
