Fresh on the heels of your last thought about a reason to imbibe comes Jim Beam 1795 (~$175), a hyper-exclusive bourbon that’s sure to be purchased quickly and drunk at geologic speeds. Made from an 8 year old bourbon pulled from the top floor of a select rack house, 1795 (the year Jim Beam began spirits production) is made solely for sale at the Frankfurt Airport’s Heinemann Duty Free store at the T1B Schengen Lounge. If you ever needed a reason to buy a plane ticket just to visit an airport, this would be it. The 47.5% ABV bourbon will be sold in a special 700ml flint glass flask with a gorgeous cap, engraved Jim Beam numbered signature plate, and a tasteful black presentation box only subtly making reference to its contents. Production is limited to 200 bottles and only available in June of 2012. And there’s no doubt, this incredibly small batch bourbon will hit your lips with smooth flavor and leave your brain wondering why you didn’t buy two of them.
