The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 ($650) is your new Facebook adversary. Sporting a compact design, this little-camera-that-can packs a huge punch with a 1” 20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor -— literally twice the size of sensors in other comparable prosumer point-and-shoots. In front of it, sits a ƒ/1.8 Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens with 3.6x optical zoom, while on the flip side, a 3” 1,229k-dot LCD screen, powered with WhiteMagic technology, adds white pixels to improve visibility while shooting outdoors or in fluorescent light museums. The RX100 also includes a BIONZ imaging processor (ISO range of 80-25,600), as well as 1080/60p video and the ability to shoot in RAW format.
