If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to sleep one off in the streets of London but can’t leave your Hoboken homestead, you can trust an architect from the other side of Manhattan to have you covered — literally. City Quilts ($219+) are ever-so-soft road maps blankets from Brooklyn based Haptic Labs. Originally developed by Emily Fischer as an academic experiment in “tactile wayfinding” inspired by her mother’s battle with glaucoma, the quilts are unique and multifunctional art. Each map… er blanket is made from hand-stitched 100% cotton, making it durable and comfortable.

Currently you can disguise your bed as any one of the eight international cities available, but the Great Lakes quilt offers the right mix of cartography and color to really set things off. If you liked the neighborhood novelty of the Soft Cities blankets, but want a more minimalist nap-map, you’re in the right place.
