Forget tourism videos, this is the kind of travel fare we want to sink our teeth (and daydreams) into. If you’ve ever wanted to get away to an island paradise, put Seychelles atop your list. An archipelago in the Indian Ocean, it’s main source of income is as you’d imagine, tourism. It makes up for 70% of the country’s income. On a recent trip, Paul Wex went down there to visit his girlfriend and managed to capture the islands in a most excellent way. The work of his compiled footage — the narrative is appropriately absent — is Big Little World and it’s pretty mesmerizing, complete with its own score — also composed by Wex himself. Plug some headphones in this afternoon, sit back and watch the white sands and blue waters roll by. It’s far better than a trip to the water cooler.
