Get your fix for random philosophical dialogue and extreme violence with the newly announced Tarantino XX Blu-ray set. True fans might recognize a bit of double-dipping on the part of the studios here, since the new collection is essentially an augmented version of the Quentin Tarantino Collection that was available only overseas. The new XX edition includes the same six titles of Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, Death Proof, and Inglorious Basterds, while tacking on the 20th anniversary edition of Reservoir Dogs and True Romance — a Tony Scott classic that Tarantino wrote. Besides the additional films, there’s also five hours of new bonus material including “20 Years of Filmmaking”, which showcases top critics, stars, and other directors weighing in on Tarantino’s work over the last 20 years. Pick up the set for $120 once it hit shelves November 19th, and you should have plenty of time to study up before Django Unchained heads to theaters this December.
