Supercars tend to be about as subtle as an MMA pugilist after a couple Red Bull and vodkas. Stuff that mess into a retina-searing blue dress and you’ve got the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive.

Forking up $530,000 for this gull-winged Smurf-mobile gets you 750 e-horsepower from four electric motors (one at each wheel) and 60kWh of lithium ion batteries. So, other than a fat utility bill, what’s the result? How about 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, 737 pound-feet of torque, a 155 mph top speed and a range of 155 miles (Take that, Nissan Leaf!). All that’s left to figure out is whether or not you have both the funds for this environmentally conscious beast — and a pair of really good sunglasses to save your eyes every time you want to go for a drive. The Electric Drive isn’t available until June 2013 — until then, beef up your stock portfolio.
