Beware the full moonphase
Dunhill Classic PVD Moonphase Watch
If bespoke is your middle name, then Dunhill is a brand you already know. From fine tobacco accessories to pens, high-end clothing and timepieces, Dunhill builds quality. Typically erring on the classic side of style, they’ve gone a bit risky with their new and very black Dunhill Classic PVD Moonphase Watch ($7,300); it’s both beautifully simple and classically modern.
The 40mm watch (Dunhill doesn’t do frying-pan-sized horology) sports a PVD-coated stainless steel case. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 924 automatic movement powers the three-handed timepiece, which displays day and month windows at nine and three O’clock, a moon phase dial at the six position and the date along the inner bezel. The very handsome black dial has rhodium-plated zones with a diamond pattern guilloché — a look we love for its originality and clean design. A rubberized black calfskin strap rounds out this handsome timepiece. Cost for subtlety? $7,300. The envy of watch freaks everywhere? Priceless.
