Sometimes when things are naked, life is just better — notwithstanding mole rats and fat guys. But when it comes to motorcycles, we’re huge fans of letting it all hang out; the brand new MV Agusta Brutale 800 (~$12,586), a much-welcomed addition to the Italian bikemaker’s handsome naked line, does just that.
The Brutale 800 is modeled after its exhibitionist little brother, the 675, albeit with more oomph from its inline triple engine, which offers up 125 horses at 11,600 rpm over the 675’s 108.5 hp. The 800 also gets a suspension that adjusts three ways, a throttle-by-wire system, selectable engine maps and eight-level traction control. But it’s not all speed and wet underpants. The big 320mm Brembo front brakes and 220mm rears should bring the bike to an authoritative stop when necessary. The design itself is pure aggressive, nude goodness, but with all this technology and power, don’t be surprised by its ~$12,586 price tag.
