We can’t all be members of the Bel Air Circuit. For those scorned by the secret society, there’s Prima Cinema ($35,000). Designed in California and built in the U.S.A., Prima Cinema is a combination system/service that delivers Hollywood’s latest creations directly to your own private screening parties, simultaneous to their theatrical release.

The system comprises a rack-mountable Cinema Player along with a Prima Biometric Reader that enables you (and only you) to make the most of that new TV and sound system you recently picked up. With membership and rental fees ($500 per 24-hour movie rental) out of the way, you can sit back with your favorite popcorn while Prima Cinema streams the same high-definition video and audio quality movies that the local multiplex crams people in to see. While it is a sizable investment (you’ll also need some pretty beefy bandwidth), you can now call that man-cave an actual home theater — minus the sticky floors, phone calls and mouth-breathers that drove you from public cinemas in the first place.
