Tree Houses: Fairy Tale Castles in the Air
There’s a coffee table book for everything these days, so we’re a little surprised it’s taken this long to address a topic so near and dear to anyone with even a scrap of inner childhood left kicking around: tree houses. Maybe we’re just rusty on our Swiss Family Robinson. Taschen’s Tree Houses: Fairy Tale Castles in the Air ($41) is a new living room tome covering 50 magnificent tree houses from around the world through beautiful photos and biographies of their various architects. Not everything featured inside exactly fits our summer daydreams of raised forts in the old oak tree, but that won’t stop browsers reminiscing about a time when sitting around a table chit-chatting over drinks would have been the most boring thing on earth.
