Opting for the standard 2014 E-Class coupe, sedan, convertible or wagon gets you the new grill, hood and lights (along with a serious list of safety features) for a streamlined Optimus Prime look to the front as well as the put-a-drink-on-it wide and flat backside.
But because we all need a little more-cedes in our lives, the minds behind the German star have tweaked their AMG (believe it stands for “ah my gawd”) version to coax 550 horsepower from the handmade 5.5-liter twin turbo V8, getting to 60 in 3.6 seconds, assumedly due to magic; more likely, it’s the newly standard 4Matic all wheel drive. Look for the passing blur on freeways in the summer of 2013.
