Major improvements include an integrated fingerprint scanner in the home button, water proofing certification good for 30 minutes in up to three feet of water,an integrated rear heart rate sensor just below the camera that works via fingertip, a 16MP rear camera with 4k video capture and a slim “modern glam” dimpled soft touch finish back. Sony also announced an update to its flagship handset at mobile world congress in the form of the Xperia Z2. It keeps the same proportions and overall solid hardware design while adding a new “Live Color LED” IPS display that Sony claims beats even the lauded iPhone 5. A beefier 3200mAh battery, 3GB of ram, a quad-crd 2.3Ghz Snapdragon 801 and 4k video capture top it all off — transforming the Xperia Z series from good to great.
