Meet the C by GE LED Lamp, from GE Lighting. The upcoming circular table lamp is the first lighting product with Amazon’s Alexa Voice Service (AVS) embedded into it. There’s no Alexa-enabled device or smartphone required; to operate it, you just ask it questions as you would with the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot and Tap smart speakers. Alexa, what’s the weather like today? Alexa, set my morning alarm to 8 a.m. Alexa, play music on Spotify. It can answer every request. See it in action here.

The lamps will be designed (in part) by Richard Clarkson, known for his cloud-shaped ceiling light that thunders and flashes with lightning. They will be available for pre-order in early 2017 at www.CbyGE.com. Expect to see them in the second quarter of 2017.
