Pottery Barn Manhattan Leather Armchair

A man needs a proper chair - a place where he can sit, relax and enjoy a drink, book, music or movie without disturbance or nag. Forget the couch or that tattered cloth beast sitting in the corner of your living room, this chair is throne befitting for your posterior.

Pottery Barn Manhattan Leather ArmchairThe Manhattan Armchair from Pottery Barn really is a classic. It’s quintessential club chair look features top-grain leather, lush curves and thick padding to make it exceptionally comfortable. It now comes in a bevy of colors including Whiskey, Espresso, Cherry Red, Toffee, Hazelnut or Cinnamon. Definitely go with hazelnut (shown here), it’ll age better than any scotch you’ve ever purchased. Of course, that’s probably due to the extra pigment PB puts into this particular color of leather.

What this means to you:
There’s a reason why kings have thrones.

Cost: $1399 @ Pottery Barn

I've always loved the PB Manhattan collection. However, I could never afford it brand new I kept my eye out on Craigslist here and there. I finally ended up with the sofa in espresso, like nre for 1200. Later on, found the club chair and ottoman in cognac with a few scratches here and there 700 for the set. I then ran across two of the club chairs in Hazelnut for $350 each. Both have some scratches here and there. But from my understanding analybe leather scratches easily. So, I now have 3 of the Manhattan chairs. Im stil debating which color looks best with the espresso sofa (dark dark brown almost black). The cognac (reddish brown) or the Hazelnut (more of a medium chocolate color ). I've seen just the chair sell for 600-700 each second hand. There is no other wear to the Hazelnut chairs. My house is not that big. I am trying to talk the other half into getting rid of thw cheap striped loveseat in the den and letting me put of the armchairs in there. :)
