Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, all of those "old school" designers have always liked the little girl look, the "waif"… which only exists in 13 year old girls (remember Brooke Shields posing when she was a child?) or anorexic women. My opinion is that they fired Filippa Hamilton for being too "old" not too "fat'. Of course, she is neither, but as long as the public lets designers perpetuate unrealistic images of women, that's what the public will get. Don't buy their clothes and demand to see a beautiful, healthy woman like Filippa. That's the only way real change will occur. As for Filippa, she'll be fine. Any accusation of her being anything but a "model" model is absurd, and all the press will no doubt boost her career… Team Filippa!
Ok. .She is beautiful. Most models tend to be beautiful in some way. And I'm sure every body agrees that if she was really fired for being fat is wrong and definitely untrue . But BLD is right. Don't buy their clothes/products, and demand to what you want! They'll meet the whatever need the public wants in order to make money.
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing some REAL women that are REAL sizes.
There are plenty of girls Filippa's size but what about the women/girls that are a little thick?
