carlsberg.draughtmaster.2.jpgThat first sip of beer after a long day at the office is bliss. Just like a gorgeous woman, a perfectly poured pint can make all the worries disappear, if just for a moment. Find yourself a comfortable spot in your perfect chair, lean back, take a sip out of that well-chilled glass, and let yourself be in the moment. Perfect.

Now, don’t you wish you were at home instead of a rowdy bar? Don’t you wish you were there holding this ‘perfect pint’ instead of some bottle of Miller Lite? Get yourself a Carlsberg DraughtMaster II and it’s all yours. The simple machine will serve 5 liters of lager without fuss or mess. You’ll be pulling pints like the local pub in 10 seconds flat.

What this means to you: Got you hankering for a pint? Us too - good thing we’ve got one of these right here at the GP offices.

Cost: $225 @ Comet (UK Retailer)

Tip: Want more info? Check out the Carlsberg Draughtmaster site.

This has been around for at least a year. Mine is almost a year old. Love it, but as I’ve written on other blogs, it is as loud as a damn Vespa! Every 20 minutes the pump kicks in to keep the pressure up and the cooling fan is on all the time. The fan sounds like 5 desktop computers going full out 24hrs a day. After a year I would hope they would have fixed those problems, but I doubt it.

I wouldn’t even think about it if you have a small apartment. It’ll keep the dead awake. Killer for a party though!

This one has definitely been around for a little while. The mk2 has been around in excess of 6 months from what we can gather. Never hurts to have another way to dispense beer although ours doesn’t have a noisy pump - certainly not as loud as Vespa. More like the sound of a Honda Civic starting up as heard from the interior.

Either way, it’s beer. And who can complain about good cold lager?

Ha! Maybe I’ll have to hack mine. I actually had to turn mine off the other night and waste 1/2 a keg. :( Wonder if I could add an SMS unit to it…a fresh glass of cold beer when I walk in the door. Sounds nice.

Hi i have had mine since christmas and iam on my second d/m the seal ring are a problem and it will only work when i pack the seal ring in really tight. or when it feels like working. For the money you pay it should be a great buy but at the moment i think it rubbish as any one else had this problem ??????

I’ve had mine for 2 months now and I have managed exactly 1 keg that hasn’t caused problems. Have contacted the helpline several times and it seems like to seals that are the problem, they keep sending me more and more complicated instructions! It’s a nice idea but a tremendous amount of effort and 9 time out of 10 it doesn’t work anyway, my advice is stick to cans or go to the pub!
