We’re drowning in politics. Hurricanes are destroying homes. The writer’s strike has rendered television useless. Work is less than stellar. Football is over… Perhaps this is a weekend best suited for staying in, catching up on whatever it is you need to catch up on and pouring yourself a drink.

The ingredients are simple: One substantial tumbler. Three rocks. Your choice of single malt scotch or small batch bourbon (no rocks).

The instructions are simple: Open bottle. Pour.

Optional: Relax in your favorite chair. Drown out the week with your favorite tunes. Maybe catch up some Gear Patrol.
