Audi makes fine automobiles - granted they share platforms with their siblings at Volkswagen, but if there’s anyone that melds the terms “graceful” and “teutonic” it’s Audi.

The 2009 Audi A4 Avant will be unveiled Geneva next month and by the looks of Audi has put together a gorgeous automobile. Audi makes wagons (estates) and they make them well. The A4 Avant will be powered by a 2.0 liter TFSI Turbo engine generating a fuel sipping 160 hp. An optional 3.2 liter engine may or may not be available stateside generating 265 hp. All this in a car with 50-cubic feet of storage. If you’re looking for the gadgetry of the A4 then know that it will be available with a Bang & Olufson 505 watt, ten channel powering 14 speakers amongst many other multimedia options. [Full press release here]

What this means to you: Why are we showing you a wagon? Well, because despite most U.S. men’s propensity to only like coupes, sedans and SUV’s, wagons are fantastic vehicles - hauling people, gear and doing it with speed and style.

Cost: $39k+ this Fall @ Audi
