The Coen brothers have brought us another classic, and personally this writer’s favorite since, the genius that is, The Big Lebowski. No Country For Old Men is a distinctly American crime story that explores biblical themes (in case you haven’t already noticed a pattern with Coen brothers movies) in a contemporary Southwestern setting. A modern classic for sure.
What this means to you: It’s terrifically disturbing, terrifyingly enigmatic and belongs in your movie collection today.

just saw no country for old men, it’s unassumingly unconventional yet (thankfully) never over-the-top. the Coen bros. deserve their Oscars; well done indeed.
