The Porsche Boxster RS 60 Spyder is a tribute to the Porsche 718 RS 60 Spyder that won Sebring 48 years ago. And though it is a limited edition Porsche with only 1960 vehicles being produced it’s probably more likely that your dollars will get you one of these than any original RS 60 unles you’ve got $800,000 lying around.

A few elements differentiate the RS 60 from standard Porsche Boxsters. It will be fitted with a modified fascia, wheel/tire upgrade and a sport exhaust that allows more breathing to give the Boxster a total of 303 horsepower. Just like the original, the RS 60 Spyder will come in silver with a red leather interior and a numbered plaque emblazoned across the dash. [via]

What this means to you: The Boxster isn’t a shabby Porsche by any means. (personally this writer perfers the Cayman) That said, the gorgeous tribute units create a moment of pause. Of course that could be the gorgeous classic 718 RS.

Cost: TBD @ Porsche
