Back in March Mitsubishi announced the return of the Brazil only L200 Savana and like a lot of things of Brazilian origin, this truck looks fantastic…

In a rugged kind of way.

The offroad variant of the Mitsubishi Triton pickup truck looks like it hasn’t change one iota from the 1990’s there remains a certain ruggedness that can’t be denied.

Starting with a 2.5 liter turbodiesel the driver can choose between three different modes of drive (4×2, 4×4 high and 4×4 low) shifting their own gears through a 5-speed manual. A functional roofbasket that can stow up to 220 lbs is included along with as beefed up chassis, snorkel for water fording, and an all-business body: charcoal wheel flares, bumpers, taillamp surrounds and grille. 16 inch steel wheels are enevloped in mud-terrain knobby tires giving the L200 Savana 9 inches of ground clearance and Hummer like approach angles.

Cost: ~$50,000 and Brazilian Passport
