Cole Haan Air Infinity Oxford

A couple of weeks ago I decided to pick up a pair of white sneakers. I could have gone with some traditional Chucks, Lacoste or Adidas shoes (many of which we’ve featured here on Gear Patrol) but me being me I didn’t want to go with standard faire. My search led me to discover the Cole Haan Air Infinity Oxford sneakers. A sneaker with an oxford design but meld of elements like soft tumbled leather, nylon mesh fabric and leather lining.
The Air Infinity Oxford uses a rubber pod outsole with Nike Air technology in the heel for a fit & feel I’ve come to appreciate on my longer sojourns here in New York.
Cost: $175 @ Cole Haan

I bought a pair of these in brown and they totally suck.
The first pair i bought had some defect in the heel that gave me a terrible blister so I had to return them for:
The second pair whose front stiches started wearing out, creating a hole in both shoes, after 2 months of wear (in rotation with other shoes of course). I think I'll stick with other brands at this pricepoint like asics steve madden diesel which have lasted much longer in my experience.
I really wanted to like these shoes. They were very comfortable, until they started falling apart. Apparently NIKE has really tarnished the brand since taking over.
