Naga Jolokia | The World’s Hottest Chile Pepper
You spice-ophiles need to direct your eyes to this little gem. The Naga Jolokia is the world’s hottest chili, confirmed by Guinness World Records. It measures in at a digestive tract melting 1,001,300 Scoville units (Jalapenos measure 2,500-10,000 units). It cannot even be handled with bear hands. Some northeastern Indians, from where it comes, are known to use it as a defense against wild elephants. Yum.

I think this record is just a little outdated. There is another chile pepper that tops this one with a whopping 4 scoville units. It is the Bhut Jolokai. Ordering information on the website.

yes, but can squirrel hands be used to handle it? *bare hands*. either way, my morbid curiosity will make me get one of these, and destroy my mouth.
