This Sh** Is Real. It’s Real Funny.

The best thing to happen to you this summer, Tropic Thunder. (Dreamworks)

Today, Ben Stiller’s self directed movie, Tropic Thunder, hits your local theater and may good and well be the funniest movie of 2008.

Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr. (playing an Aussie actor, playing a black man), and about a dozen other actors you’ll recognize mock the excess of Hollywood. And what better way to do that than be excessive in of itself. Any movie with Jon Voight, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Lance Bass and Alicia Silverstone playing themselves is destined for greatness not to mention Tom Cruise’s portrayal of a raging lunatic.
