Somewhere Between Hot and Scalding

The 2008 Paris Motor Show is well underway and there have been a few stars and duds. The XKR-S does not belong to the duds. Nay, it belongs to the fu$#ing hot category.

Of course, buying a car is probably the last thing you’re thinking about doing now. Not that you can get this as the XKR-S is limited to 200 European market editions only. So gaze, drool a bit, and find comfort knowing this won’t be on any lots for you (or Wall Street stockbrokers for that matter) to purchase.

Claiming the throne as the fastest Jaguar XK, the XKR-S growls like a beast from hell with a 420 horsepower 4.2 liter V8 engine. Self-rowing six speed sequential shift gear box will drive the Jaguar’s feline ass to 60mph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 174. According to Autoblog, this makes the XKR-S the fastest Jaguar since the fabled XJ220 supercar.

Jaguar also rounds out the XJR-S with astronomically large wheels with rubber that almost looks painted on, a computer controlled active suspension, active exhaust, new aerodynamic treatments and brain-bending Alcon brakes. More sexy photos from Jaguar after the jump.
