Born and raised in the Midwest, I spent the last eight years on the West Coast, first for college then for work. Interspersed were two backpacking trips in Asia and six months doing international development work in Trinidad. Now I’m back in the Midwest attending graduate school to learn about how to make money. I’m into traveling, working out, meeting people and drinking Chinese tea.
My priorities at GP are not just to introduce you to the coolest new gear but to evangelize the GP lifestyle. That means embracing the day, giving back and aspiring big. We here at Gear Patrol take our duty to bring you the coolestgeararound very seriously. But on Thanksgiving, we’d like to remind you of a quote by Frederick Koenig:
“We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”
As your family and friends gather around the dinner table tonight, take a moment to look around and reflect on all that you have to be thankful for. Take that time to recognize and appreciate the people who have made it possible for you to be where you are today. Don’t forget to tell your mom that you love her.
