Gear Up With A KEEN Giveaway

Reading Gear Patrol must be difficult. It must be difficult to sit there reading about all these great products wishing you could just click on that link to order it without having to enter in your payment information.
Trust us, we feel the same way. It just happens to be that there’s an army of us here at GP and we each get our own turn doing in-depth testing on gear and taking the time to make sure it’s worthy of your attention and your hard earned dollars. (We don’t just post random stuff.)
Turns out the folks over at KEEN sympathize with our plight. As part of the launch of their new website and online store, they are offering one lucky Gear Patrol loyalist the chance to do just that. Order a pair of shoes and don’t pay a penny. Better yet, it’s simple to enter.
If you’re not sure if KEEN is right for you then be sure to read what they’re all about. KEEN’s enthusiasm for the active lifestyle while remaining socially and environmentally conscious resonates with us, and we think it will with you, too.
Find out how to win yourself a pair of free KEEN shoes after the jump.

Want? No, I *need* a pair of the KEEN Summit County boots. Why? Because my vindictive ex-wife (is their any other type) stole my snow boots (along with most of my snowboards) and is trying to ransom them back to me. I have refused to be a victim of extortion and risk frostbite every time I have to shovel the driveway in my Converses.
A pair of Shellrock WP would be great to stay active outdoors in snow.
I need the Bandon Boot WP! My Timberlands are falling apart with each step and I walk to work. The winter is coming and I need my feet dry, warm and working properly so I can keep training for the spring biking season. Century rides await! I also now have a baby, and need the extra cushion as I lug around my newest accessory.
I want a pair of Targhee II cause they’re the classic KEEN shoe and would be entirely perfect for snowboarding season. I definitely need a good pair of 4×4 shoes cause i’ve usually just worn mesh tennis shoes even in the snow!! haha. So I can’t wait to drive to go snowboarding several times soon, but I’m definitely going to need some new shoes for that. Thank you for bringing KEEN back to me tho, if I don’t win I’m probably going to heavily consider buying them, but if I’m going to win, then that will definitely take some stress off my small paychecks!!
Knoxville might see record lows this winter and as a plumber who spends most of the year standing in water, I sure could use those KEEN Summit County boots. Lane Kiffin, really, come on…..?!
SAN ANTONIO BOOT
I am a boot guy - I own 6 pairs, dress, outdoors, casual, but mostly black. I need a pair of the Brown San An’s to complete my casual look - and keep comfy this winter down in New Orleans.
The San Antonio Boot looks recession-proof for sure.
The carefully selected leather uppers are sure to survive even the most unstable economy.
I want to be wearing the Dual Density Direct Injected PU Outsole when the market finally hits bottom.
The Keen BLACKCOMB would be ideal for me. Great for the cold winter ahead. I’m definitely in need of some winter boots.
i need the OREGON PCT. moving to snowier climate, need to keep the tootsies from freezing off.
Greater Chicagoland is cold and snowy, A-GAIN, and my usual walking kicks are not up to the 5-am shoveling o’ the walks or the occasional slip-and-slide down the fire escape stairs ‘cuz the snow is piled against my door and the drifts are cementing it closed. Fleece socks are not enough — I need some KEEN BLACKCOMB Black/Black boots!
I need a great hiking boot that can handle any trail. The Oregon PCT looks like the boot for the job. I need it!!!!
Well I go to school at RIT (Rochester, NY). It’s the epicenter of Jack Frost’s asshole, there is no way to put into words how consistently crappy the weather is here. I am looking for a boot that can handle the rain/snow/sleet/hail which is a constant up here. With a pair of them there GROWLER boots I think I could do it with some unheard of level of confidence. For one they look like they eat rocks in their spare time and two they have this sweet insulation on the inside, and quite frankly I like “warm”.
Thanks again for hearing me out. (GP Should really do a get together at some hotel with some neat gadgets and women, then video tape it.)
Summit County boots needed here to handle the snowy Rocky Mtn winters. The Teva’s aren’t cuttin’ it!
I’ll admit it - I have a pair of boots. They are still useable. They still keep me warm and dry. They are 10 years old. They are a hideous color. They look like moon boots. They are stained with salt and other things that I am NOT about to try to identify. They get all kinds of amazed looks from people. They are NOT the Stockholm which I now covet.
The Summit County boot would be perfect for my family’s yearly boot hockey tournament on the ice of my parent’s lake home.
Last year, wearing my Doc Martens, My uncle Gary took a run at me and laid me out on the ice, causing me to suffer a concussion and trip to the hospital to recieve 12 stiches in my chin.
This year, I’m out for blood, and with my feet strapped securely in these, there’s not way my face will be meeting the ice again this year.
Going with the Winterport boot and I want them in brown..ok “Bison”. Winter’s get mighty cold here off the lake and I need something waterproof working outside all day. Not to mention, I’m lazy (ask my wife) so easy-on, easy-off works for me..don’t want to jack around lacing up boots. I do like the way these look.
The San Antonio Slip-On is the best looking shoe I’ve seen in the category since everybody has tried to make this style. Clean and easy is how I like it. Those shoes wil look great on my feet.
I’d like the Trailhead Ridgeline in Forest Night/Inca Gold. Boots would also be excellent.
It’s a sad story … but it must be told. With just weeks left till Christmas, after losing my job my wife told me to take a hike. But can you believe it - she took everything; the car, the house, and yes, even my hiking boots. As I sit here in the street in my stocking feet (fortunately she didn’t find the iPhone in my pocket, so I am able to write this) not only can’t I take a hike, I can’t even venture out to find a new job. No, please don’t cry for me or mail donations, just send a pair of those fantastic-looking Targhee’s (Mid II Trooper /Greyed Jade size 11). God bless and happy holidays!
Shellrock WP’s to motivate me to go to my classes in winter. Slipping around on a dusting of snow is no fun at all and these will keep my feet from getting wet too.
I’m entering for my husband who say’s he really likes the Austin
I live in the foothills near Castle Rock, Colorado. In the wintertime, I get a lot of snow. As I am out there digging my way through, A pair of black San Antonio boots would help me to remain stylish (and warm) as I engage in manual labor. As you know, it is all about the gear, in any endeavor. With those BLACK SAN ANTONIO BOOTS, I am no longer condemned to wear my purple air jordan hiking boots (dont ask, its a long story…).
I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have already shoveled snow four times this winter. This week’s forecast? Monday - snow and 27 degrees; Tuesday - snow and 29 degrees; Wednesday - snow and 8(!) degrees; Thursday - no snow, but 9 degrees, Friday - snow and 17 degrees. And that’s just this week. Winter in Minnesota lasts until April. I need the Keen Summit County boots to help get me through it.
I am a college student, so KEEN shoes are normally a little expensive. But, if I were to win a pair, I would want:
Shellrock WP
I am in the process of training for my first triathlon. Besides being a fun hobby and a healthy habit, my main motivation for training is my goal of being able to compete for Train for Humanity  http://trainforhumanity.org/. TfH’s mission is to help raise money for children, orphans, and refugees who have been affected/displaced by genocide and war. They do this through triathlon racing, with sponsorships and proceeds going to the cause.
As part of my training regimen, I have been running quite a bit. The majority of my runs are around campus/town or at the track.
I would love to add a little variety to my workout and try some trail running. My current racing flats are not nearly robust enough to use off firm surfaces, so a pair of Shellrock WPs would definitely be a huge help. Furthermore, with the shoes, there are a number of mountain-based races next spring that I would be able to train for and compete in.
A pair of shoes for a college kid trying to save the world.
I love the Calistoga. It looks comfy as well as very stylish. I find it difficult to find a comfortable shoe that is also appropriate to wear in an office/work environment. I need this shoe so I can give my sore feet a timeout from all the heels I seem to find myself wearing!
The wear-around slip on looks convenient and easy. The Ridgeline looks like a nice, low profile, yet breathable trail runner.
Working on a farm at an outdoor museum, the winters can be especially rough. The boots i had purchased had lasted a good amount of time, however by this point they are nothing but worn down pieces of leather covering my feet. With the soles worn away and the insoles constantly falling out…(thanks to our new jack russell puppy) Your Snoqualmie boots would do just the trick to keep me from becoming history as well in these cold months ahead.
A pair of Targhee II Mids would be great. I hike constantly, with and without a ruck, trails and mountains, and they look like they’d be up to the task. Unfortunately I’ve been limited to sneakers lately, since I wore out my old favorite boots in Baghdad. The new boots they issued me to replace them just aren’t the same…
Love the calistogas…Thanks!
I love the Napa Boot. I have a pair of Merrell’s that are about 12 years old… time to replace and update. I’d look snazzy!!
Oh! I’d love to win a pair of the CALISTOGA Mary Janes!!
Because I think they are cute and I need winter shoes to replace my flip flops.
My niece needs the baby Shay in precious pink! She just moved to Denver and I know her little toesies are freezing.
market street is the perfect shoe for me! Isn’t it always about me???
i love the winthrop boots!
funky and functional!
WINTERPORT works for me. I need something waterproof and warm.
I’m loving the Sienna Ballerina in Port Royale
The WASATCH CREST is definitely a shoe I NEED. Why? I’m fresh out of college (which means I have no money) and I’m going to SUDAN on a medical mission. The places I’m staying won’t even have indoor plumbing let alone a bed. I’m going with a team of physicians who also happens to have a passion for running. I’m hoping this shoe will be able to help me keep up during surgeries and while running. Additionally I’m funding my costs on my own, which means all the money I made so far at my entry level research job is going to be spent on this trip, but hey it’s for a good cause!
I would love to get a pair of the Ridgeline. I really do need a pair of trail shoes. I’ve been biting it big time on trails in my regular running shoes. Worst wipe-out being one where I saw my ankles above my forehead and watched my wedding ring fly away from me. Ring was recovered, respect for my running shoes was not. Size 11 would be sweet.
I would love to get the Bandon Clogs. They look to be versatile enough to wear anywhere…work or play.
I’ve heard many rave reviews of Keen shoes and am anxious to experience them myself.
Love the shellrock wp. This is definitely the only way im getting anything for xmas. Lets all cross our fingers.
