Hi,
Just wanted to leave a comment regarding the traction products available on the market. Yaktrax is definitely a great product and has it's place - I have found they are wonderful in light winter conditions. However, I have found that they are not as reliable when conditions call for serious traction. I recently discovered Stabilicers (www.32north.com). Unlike the coil design of Yaktrax , Stabilicers use small spikes which provided excellent traction plus they seemed sturdier.
